Andy Newell brings his highest level of creativity and invention with music and sound to all of his clients. Over the last 20 years, Andy and his team has worked on many, many commercials. From composing the music and recording an orchestra for a 7-UP commercial entitled “Bunny Burp” to creating the sound design for the indie Horror flicks,
Pig Hunt and
Dolls. You may also have recognized many of his commercials on television including: BUDWEISER LIZARDS, ADIDAS, TMOBILE, AT&T, CAPITAL ONE, FOX SPORTS, AFLAC, TOYOTA, HONDA, E*TRADE, YAHOO!, NIKE, GOT MILK?, DISH NETWORK, CINGULAR WIRELESS, HERBAL ESSENCE, DICOVER BROKERAGE, KIA, PIZZA HUT, SARA LEE, SEGA, NINTENDO, TOYS R US. And that’s just a handful of ‘em. Andy’s worked on over 2000 commercials during the course of his career. Andy finished work as Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer on the Comedic, Indie-Horror film
PIGHUNT, released in 2008 by Epic Pictures. From 2003-2006, he worked as Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer on Disney’s animated feature
THE WILD. Before that, Andy had been an effects editor on the ACADEMY AWARD winning sound effects team for
BRAM STOKERS DRACULA, directed by Francis Coppola. He also created effects designs for
JUDGE DREDD, HANNAS WAR,
THE SECRET GARDEN, AMERICAN NINJA 4, and the cult classic,
DOLLS. And finally the prizes: Andy has received 27 CLIOS for work done on national commercials, including 3 GOLD CLIOS for the BUDWEISER LIZARDS SUPER BOWL SPOTS in 1998 and 1999. He also received a SILVER LION at CANNES INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL FESTIVAL in 1998, and another for the Budweiser “WHAT ARE YOU DOING” SUPER BOWL commercial in 2001.

In 2000 the ripe staff, under Andy's direction, developed a collection of sound effects and sound design cd's. The effects from these cd's and many more effects created since then, are available for purchase on the well-known Sound Effect and Production music site Sound Dogs.
